Our Story...

...behind becoming Natural. Simple. Real.

NATURAL: (adj.) existing in or caused by nature; not made or caused by humankind.

Looking back, it was a lifetime of events that led to the incorporation of River Nyle. My mother was a victim of cancer, passing away when I was a child. Years following, my father suffered from heart complications and became dependent on about a dozen daily medications. He felt his body slowly deteriorating due to the accumulated side effects of his daily toxic dose. Desperately, he sought out the guidance and treatment from a holistic physician. Gradually changing his lifestyle to natural supplements, increased vegetable and fruit consumption, and regular exercise, my father is medication free and healthier than ever before.

The birth of my daughter, Nyle, also played a role in my decision to further research the power and healing within the holistic community. As a parent, you naturally want the best for your child. Finding a chemical-free skincare and haircare product that worked and was indeed all-natural became a costly burden. I've spent hundreds of dollars on claimed natural products shortly realizing was truly toxic. As a result, I began making my own blends with various essential oils for added natural healing, and shared with family and friends.

REAL: (adj.) actual. true; authentic; genuine

Having worked successful careers in D.C., New York, and the healthcare industry in Miami, I still felt unfulfilled. Following my intuition, I received a practitioner certification in Aromatherapy in Complementary Alternative Medicine becoming knowledgeable of the medicinal benefits of plants both internally and topically. I also attained a certification in yoga and reiki. Nothing was more fulfilling and reassuring than the growing knowledge that true happiness, optimal health and inner peace surrounds us in every aspect of this earth.

SIMPLE: (adj.) having only one or a few parts; uncomplicated.

The time came when an inner pull to foster the growth of fully embracing a holistic lifestyle was too strong to ignore. It kept me up at nights. Within a year, I simplified my lifestyle immensely and resigned from my relentless, demanding corporate job. This change allotted time to teach yoga within the community, speak at events about the importance of removing toxins from daily skincare regimens, and sell my handcrafted products at local South Florida farmers markets. Simple became uncomplicatedly more.

On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
